Madison Minyan volunteer and participant Aleeza A wrote a nice article about the minyan in April's Madison Jewish News. You can find it on page 10 of the original paper or view the text version without the accompanying photos.

We are honored to announce that Rabbi Ken Katz, who was the rabbi at Beth Israel for over ten years and is now working with Moses Montefiore Congregation in Appleton -- and getting a degree in Engineering at UW! -- will be giving the d'var torah at our April minyan. We have been looking for a month that works for close to half a year now and it turns out that April 12 (parshat Tazria-Metzora) works! Please join us at Gates of Heaven shortly before 7. Potluck signup is here. |
On Aug 28th 2011, twelve young adults sat down together and changed the

Attendees are of all ages and Jewish backgrounds . . .[read more] |
Madison Minyan began with some table-side conversations in August 2011. In August 2012, we celebrate our 12th minyan. So far, we have welcomed at least one new person to Madison Minyan for the first time every single month! Our largest gatherings have broken 50 community members - in July 2012 and... one other time before last month. We're now a destination, too -- we were fortunate in July to have in attendance a member of the Segulah minyan in Washington DC. |
